Ever seen a painting 114m long and 15m high (that's 374ft and 49ft)? Come to Wroclaw and you will.

The Panorama of the Battle of Racławice has those measurements exactly. The first and victorious battle of the Polish uprising against Russia in 1794 was documented 100 years later by the creation of the panorama painting, done by 9 artists in 9 months. The idea belonged to Jan Styka, who enlisted the help of famed battle painter Wojciech Kossak. Other painters were soon included in the project.

The painting is only 1 km away from the Congress venue. We encourage attendees to visit it.
